Full-day Excursion to Mount Olympus and Dion: A walk in the path of Gods 75€ per person

Join us for a one-day excursion to the Archaeological Museum of Diοn, Mount Olympus and village of
Litohoro, part of the addition to the Conference events, only 1,5 hrs away from Thessaloniki’s city center, 90 km approximately.
Υou will visit the Archaeological Park and Museum of Dion, one of the biggest archaeological sites in Greece. The city used to be very sacred to the ancient Macedonians and Αlexander the Great would make sacrifices to the Gods before starting a new campaign to conquer the world. We will visit ancient Dion, the religious center of ancient Macedonia. The site is extended and faces Mt Olympus, where we go next, visiting the Ennipeas gorge where our tourist guide will give us a mythological tour.
Mt Olympus, reaching 2.918 meters high, is the home of the 12 Gods of Greek Mythology, but also the home landscape of a rich flora and fauna population, supporting over 1700 species, some very rare. To reach the mountain, we visit the picturesque village of Litohoro which is located at the mountain’s feet and having a wide range of restaurants and cafes and a marvelous overview of the extended coastal area known as Plaka Litohorou.
Please wear ‘light’ climbing shoes, warm clothes in layers and take with you snacks and hydrating liquids.

Please note that the presented tour and price are based on a minimum number of participants. If minimum numbers are not reached, alternative arrangements or a complete refund will be made. Places on tour are limited and will be allocated strictly in order of receipt of payment. Where participants cancel their tour booking prior to 30 days, payment will be refunded in full. Thereafter, no refunds will be made.
